So I was rewatching the Airplane's performance at the ill-fated Altamont in 1969, where Hell's Angels with pool cues knocked out Marty, who jumped into the fray after seeing an audience member getting hassled. Go to 4:10. Did Paul give Marty some extra nudging to go in?  |

not real bright or naive to think you can control un-discipline meatheads  I believe at a Rolling Stones concert, the hell's angels killed a man. |

Yeah, that was pretty gutsy and not very smart in terms of self-preservation for him to do that.  And, you're right - this is the same concert where the Hell's Angels stabbed Meredith Hunter to death during the Stones' performance. |

Just 4 months after Woodstock. Thanks I didn't know that . The question is why use the Hell's angles when Woodstock was save ;) Woodstock to me was an event that restores my faith in humanity. |

Wow, it's the end of Flower Power it looks like without the Hell's Angels there was no malicious in the video and the band and their fans would have been fine - what put the 'Flower Power" in to hibernation was Timothy Leary and his CIA friends, Charlie Manson and his not flower children and Edward Bernays/Wall street and the shoving down kids throats of materialism - to keep an economy growing after ww2 + it did not help that some misguide or lazy people didn't take responsibility for their action' you want to eat pull the weeds and water the garden' you have children take care of them  I'll end this with my favorite Moltown band and a great concert  |
