Record shopping used to be one of my favorite pastimes. Every Saturday day morning, I would hit 3-4 of my favorite indie record stores in my hometown. Sadly, they're all gone now, killed by Amazon and iTunes. Even better was record shopping in Europe, because they let you listen to everything before you decide whether to buy it. I remember spending half a day in a little CD shop in Paris. It was a weekday and there were very few customers, so the clerk kept bringing me stacks of new discs to check out. I must have dropped a least 1500F (~$350) before I was done.
