I just discovered East, a Japanese psych band and their self-titled debut album. They went to America, and signed a record deal with Capitol Records. Unfortunately, while they played shows and became popular in Hawaii, their 6 month visa eventually ended, and they had to go back to Japan. Their song Deaf Eyed Julie: Anyway - the songs on the album: Beautiful Morning Me Geese On The Road She Lumbered Moses Deaf Eyed Julie Black Hearted Woman Call Back The Wind Jar Everywhere Shin Sorllan

East aren't probably famous here. I sometimes listen to 70s J-Pop (like Happy End [はっぴいえんど],Sugar Babe [シュガーベイブ], Taeko Onuki [大貫妙子], Minako Yoshida[吉田美奈子]), but I had never heard of them. Its arrangement is a little bit Asian. Perhaps they tried to make it sound more exotic. It's unique. I like this song!
