Grace gets a shock & Jack speaks (May 1 1970)

The first of them being a moment at 38:05, the end of White Rabbit. You can hear Grace exclaim, "Ow! God damnit! Burns faster than the wind. Burns the hair right off your fingers..." Did she get an electric shock? Second reason: Jack Casady speaks during a live Airplane show! At 1:00:55. Somebody cut the wires. Jack: Grace? Grace? There's no house syst- Grace: Yeah daddy! Jack: -em, somebody cut all the wires out here. Grace: I hear gray talking to me, say it again, because I can't- Jack: There's no house system, somebody cut all the wires out in here. Grace: Somebody cut the wires? Jack: I can't hear you. Grace: You can't hear me? Jack: No. Grace: Somebody cut- how can you answer things like that, saying I sk- I- I... Jack: Somebody cut the wires out here. Grace: Did they? Jack: We're trying to find them right now. Grace: Is it the CIA hitting on entertainers- okay, we're gonna take a- Jack: Do a jam or something. Grace: I hear you, we're gonna do it. What Jack says - and he doesn't say very much on stage, friends. Really, that's the only time I've heard him come over to me and say anything. He says take a break and by God I'm gonna take a break. Somebody cut the wires so we're gonna take a break and they're gonna fix the wires and we'll be back shortly. whistle Grace: Ooh, that whistle's a lot! No, apparently it's German over Irishman. German says we're gonna play a jam. Cut the wires to what? These? Cut the wires to these things? The mics? Can you hear? Audience: Yeah. Yes. Grace: These guys in front can hear. Can you hear in the back? No? No, I can't tell. begin jam Grace: You're knocking out the lightshow, love! Thank you! Oh - and, the setlist: Volunteers. Somebody To Love. The Other Side Of This Life.
