Ruthan Friedman is a musician who is famous as a songwriter of The Association's "Windy."
She befriended the members of Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe, Janis Joplin and Van Dyke Parks when she first came to San Francisco in the late 60's.
Her song, "Windy" is so famous, but it is not so known that she released her own album, Constant Companion, about two years after the song's hit.
She released only one album just like Alex Richman, but I heard she started performing again on stage!
This album is similar to Joni Mitchell in the 60's, and it seems that she recorded it with guitar only.
