The 13th Floor Elevators was a psychedelic garage rock band from Austin, Texas (1965-1969).
Trivia: Electric jug player Tommy Hall has been credited as the first to coin the term "psychedelic rock" to describe their music. Their debut LP was titled The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators (1966).
